About Me.

Chris is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) and Pending Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with two years of experience helping individuals and couples overcome emotional and behavioral challenges. His approach to therapy is collaborative and client-centered, meaning that he works with his clients to identify their unique needs and goals and tailors his approach accordingly.

In addition to his private practice work, Chris has also worked in various settings, including community mental health, Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), non-profit organizations, church-based counseling, and higher education. His experiences in these settings has given him a deep appreciation for the unique challenges that individuals and families face and has honed the ability to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that meets each client's individual needs.

Chris is clinically trained in modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for those who struggle with anxiety disorders and depression. He is also well versed with coparenting, trauma, and attachment.

Chris’ style focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) with a systemic structural therapy approach, and an emphasis on Attachment Theory. This means his approach takes into consideration the impact of family dynamics, relationships, and cultural factors. Together, you will explore the ways that these factors influence your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and how you express them. Through your collaboration, he will help you develop strategies to overcome any obstacles that arise and actively work towards your goals.
